I really agree.
I was moved last night, after the game, when, in an interview with Mike
Gorman, Al plainly and repeatedly stated that he didn't want the Celtics
broken up, and that he wanted to continue to play in Boston. In
particular, he said something to the effect of: "Iverson's a great player,
but, if he comes here, nine chances out of ten I'm in that trade, and
I want to stay here."
Al's been in the league three years, and he has to know there's a very
real chance he'll be playing for Philly next week. But rather than saying
the politic thing, he spoke from his heart. That meant a lot to me. As
did the fact he has a Celtics heart.
