Yesterday was Larry Bird's 50th birthaday and one of the cable channels was doing all Larry all day. They had footage of the locker room before the 7th game with the Lakers where Ainge was walking around with a stethscope checking to see if his teammate had a heart.
To me that says a lot about his character as a teammate and as a person.
You sit behind your computer and whine incessantly about him, just like you've whined about anyone in Celtic management as long as I've been reading your posts. The common thread is that you snicker, mock, and complain without offering a single solution or proposal on how to improve the team.
Since you seem to think Ainge has failed miserably, specifically what do you propose Wyc and the other owners do to improve the Celtics?

I just don't see Ainge taking over as head coach.
You probably wouldn't convert your all-star hitter into a starting
pitcher unless there were no other decent pitchers available.
Make Ainge your head Coach, and you lose his scouting which
many feel has been his strong suit.
And yes, I feel coaching would be a punishment for Ainge in
several ways. In addition to the possible pitfalls of emulating The
Isiah Syndrome, he's very happy flying around the country on his
own schedule, viewing future draftee after future draftee.
Why would he want to give that up? He wasn't willing to last season
when the owners were contemplating replacing Rivers but couldn't
come up with a decent replacement.
