Another loss to a bad team

I have always wondered why professional teams seem to be doing something that works such as going inside, or running the football in half, then basiclly make a 180 degree change and go to something that doesn't work, and they end up losing. I have seen this a few times this year in the NFL and just don't understand the strategy,and it wasn't as of the defensive team adjusted, they just totally went in the opposite direction

to be fair to Doc - and I know most people really don't want to be at
this point
- he was very explicit in his post-game press conference about playing
Green a
lot more.
And he drew up the final play for Gerald with Pierce as the decoy/backup
option
(which, alas,was botched). 
Of course, comparing starter Tony Allen's contribution to Gerald
Green's last
night would make even a blind man see who should be playing more. 

If this continues, Doc may go soon, but his leaving won't solve all, or
even
most, of our problems.
