I think Rondo is the better case to push on this issue. From what we hear, he is not playing because his shot is not ready--because teams are backing off from him. Well, that will be the case for a long time. Why not use his strengths, which are manifold (including free throws), and let him take a few outside shots. He's over 30%, isn't he? Telfair has earned the starter's position, but only after it was given to him. Perhaps what was seen in practice slowly became apparent in games. So, let Rondo (and Powe) have the time to emerge with some playing time. If we have another Brandon Hunter, it will be clear soon enough. What if we had not allowed Green more time on the court? He's beginning to come along from what I can see. Well, I believe in playing the talent and being patient with it. Out West, Millsap is getting his 12-16 minutes and throwing in several double-doubles. Sloan knows what he's got and he's letting it mature through the early part of the
season.
I haven't seen the Bulls game but I'm thinking that we've reached a point of unlikely return with Doc. To me, it's all whether Danny wants to take the team before or after the West coast trip. Gene
