The Search for a Scapegoat Continues...

Tony played his best game of the season against
Toronto, and followed that up with a 20 point night.
Sounds like he's emerging to me....from the utter
disaster he was earlier in the season. Somebody has
to score, and he did it. Give him credit, the man is
slowly rounding into form. I wish I could say as much
for Delonte.
Gomes did play very well, and was the only starter who
actually came to play (Telfair was decent, though his
shot was off tonight). Maybe Doc will have an
epiphany and actually run the guy a few plays in the
lowpost (you don't have to be tall or have a height
advantage to score in the lowpost, Doc). As for the
Tommy Award, I heard that Tommy is now basing that on
practice too, just like Doc. Kidding aside, Tommy
gave Tony the award because he likes him, knows he
could be a good player if we'd just fucking run
already and wants him to succeed, and hell somebody
had to win it, and Tony never quit on the game (unlike
Doc who threw up the white flag at the 8 minutes mark
of the third quarter, which is unacceptable to me, and
just shows the lack of imagination that Doc
possesses....a real coach would have tried to actually
win the game until the game was over...but Doc's
tired...he must be wasting all his good coaching moves
in practice) and kept driving and kept getting to the
line. He was one of the few bright spots in the
second half. And anyway, Tommy probably forgot about
the first half by the time the second half was over.
