The PP Show strikes again.
I KNOW, that's the NBA these days - if the stars don't get the ball the
entire fourth, then how will I, a mere fan, know who the stars really are?
By my count the "vets" have won us exactly two games. Every other game
we've won have been when the kiddie corps have been given total free reign
to run and create and be themselves (the first NY game for example) and not
be constrained into the "watch Paul and Wally" or "run your half court
offense" yelps of Doc Rivers. I swear that teaching these kids the "NBA way"
is hurting them as players instead of helping them, at least on the
offensive end - on the defensive end I agree they're pretty...challenged.
Am I being too myopic? I want to believe my gut (and my eyes) when it says
that while the corps as a whole isn't MENSA, it's sure not Doc Holliday's
Wayward School for Nattering Nabobs of Nincompoopery either.
My biggest example of why I can't figure out 100% if it's an idiot coach or
idiot player(s) is Al for example - he'll set a pick and 1 out of 4 times
he'll roll. Is he instructed not to roll the other three times? Does he not
remember to roll? Does he not roll because he know he won't see the ball if
he's setting a pick for Pierce or Wally?
WHICH IS IT? Ack!!!!!!!
That's the important question - because if you know the origin of a problem
you can then solve a problem. Somebody please help!
