Everyone is still looking at Perk and saying he is the
center of the future, but, I'm beginning to wonder.
He looks intimidating with that cut body, and he has
the height to go with it , but what he doesn't have is
the agility. When one compares him to Ben Wallace
I have to say its no comparasion. He will never be
able to defend like BW because he can't move that
quickly. If the shooter is close to him he has learned
to stay on the floor until the shot leaves or is about
to leave the shooters hand so he is able to get a piece
of it. Wallace is able to sky to get a rebound and dunk
when the chance is there. Perk can't get off the floor
high enough to do that. I have to guess that what we
see of Perk now is what we are going to see even in
the future. Maybe a little better shooter but that all.
He hasn't even learned to put a little air under his
mini hook shots or use the board in three years so
he still get half of them blocked on the way to the
ring. I'm not seeing where he will ever be any more
than a Physically impressive Greg Kite.
