Sigh, this is part 2 of why I hate trade talk - it's become all that
anyone can talk about. If there were serious rumors out there the
list would be abuzz and nothing else seems to be worth noticing...

Today's Herald clarified that Tony's continuance is because the judge
is
ill.http://celtics.bostonherald.com/celtics/view.bg?articleid=152891
and that he'll likely be shuttling back and forth between Chicago and
Boston into the season. Sigh. Don't they have any other judges? And
whatever happened to the right to a speedy trial... This needs to
get resolved so both Tony and the Cs know where they stand. And I'd
still like to hear that someone, anyone else is even this close to
coming to court.

Interview with Danny in the latest Celtics Beat has some interesting things
http://www.nba.com/celtics/news/ainge-interview081406.html?from=beat&text=true
Of course this is the inhouse not exactly hard hitting investigative
reporting version of an interview and Danny wasn't exactly speaking
off the cuff, but still, some key points:

Wally is supposedly claiming his knee is better than it's been in a
long time, with Danny having with him in Doc's tourney. This may
actually be true - the bone on bone has been there a while, so it's
not like it's ever going to be perfect, but that doesn't mean it
couldn't actually be a lot better than it was through things like
getting rid of debris getting caught in the joint and improving the
tracking for the remaining joint.

Reminds us that Al's rehab is ahead of schedule, which was also
mentioned in the Herald article, despite Al's working into shape in
camp comment.

Perk's doing very well and getting final approval to go back to full
workout this week.

Sounds like he is still working to deal and trying to leave all
possibilities open since he says that Grant will definitely not play
for us this season, but he hasn't been released either. Only reason
for that, since he only has the one year left, is to have him
available as a possible option to include in a deal to make the numbers work.
