'The Plan' becomes clear

It has been a difficult summer to be a die-hard Celtics fan. There have been plenty of interesting moves by other teams while the C's do nothing...Their only move seems like a recipe for disaster; trading a guy mentioned as a rookie of the year candidate for a play ground style point guard who has accomplished nothing in two years in the league. Of course they also dumped Dan Dickau's salary and 1 year of LaFrentz's...then they re-signed Paul Pierce...
Think about this for a minute and 'The Plan' becomes clear...
Only a handfull of teams have a legitimate shot of winning the title each year and the Celtics have obviously decided that they are not interested in making the financial commitment to try to be one of them. So, to keep a positive cash flow they have devised an alternate stragegy...
Pierce should keep the Celtics in the play-off hunt and gaurantee enough casual fan interest to sell tickets. Stock the team with above average, young cheap players (which the team (and Boston Globe) will market/hype as the stars of the future). Throw in a dance team (much cheaper than adding a quality player) to distract the fans and improve the 'entertainment product' and they have a profitable business model.
We need to accept the fact that the team is being run purely as a bottom line business; wins and losses are secondary. All their talk of being 'Championship Driven' is empty sloganning and a slap in the face to anyone who followed the team through the decades.
P.S. Isn't it ironic (or moronic) that Danny Ainge, who is constantly praised
for his great drafting, trades away his highest draft pick ever?
