On Jefferson ... He's the only one who says there were bone chips. Danny
himself said it was exploratory and never mentioned them finding bone
chips. It sounds to me like they did it to appease him, and now he's
going to be taking it easy for two months. I'm not excited about any of
this. I'm not giving up on the kid, but he has to grow up, toughen up
and deliver. Some encouraging things: He hired a chef. That's good. He's
at least planning on spending some time on a stationary bike and working
on his upper body. Hopefully a lot more than was hinted at in the
article. That would be good. It just sounded like someone lining up
another set of excuses.

Allen ... I agree that Tony is more of a target in a civil case, but it
sounds like the criminal case is pretty damning. They reportedly have
video that is incriminating. I'm just not ready to say he's being
targeted by the police or prosecution when it sounds like he did plenty
to get himself in the predicament he's in. Hopefully it all turns out
OK.

Telfair ... I really do hope it works out. I'd love it if he becomes
something approaching a Nash/Kidd level of point guard. Other than a
dominant center, nothing elevates a team more than a big-time point
guard. I'll be thrilled to say I was wrong about Telfair. But I'm just
not convinced. I hope I'm wrong. Sincerely.

Well if he hasn't been able to get off the bed/sofa, what do you 
expect him to say, Mark. Yeah, he reportedly has been doing what he 
could and taking better care of himself in general, but he can't get 
into playing shape sitting on a sofa no matter what he does there.

I already said he was clearly guilty of something, but so were other 
people and no one else seems to be getting charged or sued or 
anything. Such as the guy who actually pulled the gun. They may be 
the same to you but they aren't being treated that way and you can't 
help but think that the fact that Tony is a richer target for milking 
plays into it.
