Quick takes:
Jefferson ... I loved the quote from him about using training camp to
play his way into shape. Perfect. Just what I wanted to hear.
Tony Allen ... He didn't have the gun, but he allegedly pointed out the
target and told his buddy to shoot him. If that's the way it went down
-- and that's still an "if" -- then there isn't much difference in my
mind.
Telfair ... Nothing new there, and anytime they use Telfair and Marbury
in the same sentence, I get nervous ... but I really do hope it works
out.

Dunno if everyone checks the Boston papers for Cs news, so just to
flag a few things:

Jefferson apparently had bone chips in the bad ankle, causing at
least some of the ongoing problems (bone bruises on their own can
genuinely take months to heal too) - no, whoever told him to stop
whining about it hurting back during summer league, it wasn't just
whining.

Tony Allen's legal status apparently stays in limbo a bit longer.
Wonder who asked for the continuance and why. Looking to settle in
return for withdrawing charges or something? That's about the only
reason I can see that it makes sense for Tony, who surely wants to
get things resolved so he can either move on with his career or at
least know where he stands. Tony was dumb that night and fairly
clearly was guilty of something, but I've found it suspicious all
along that the only one about whom there's even a whisper of legal
action is the one with money. This despite the fact that things are
supposedly on film. Maybe there are other cases going on, but none of
the reports have sounded that way, and after all however dumb he was,
Tony wasn't the one with the gun.

Dunno if anyone knew that Dana had given up an assistant coaching job
to take over as Boston's new rec director. Local guy who grew up in
the neighborhoods and knows what it's like.

Longish Shira profile of Telfair. Such things are what they are and
Shira's not the one to make it controversial, but it's still worth
reading to get some ideas about his perspective on some things and
for bits like the fairly universal insistence that despite some
claims about his big head he's not running around with an entourage
full of trouble..
