Since it's so very quiet around here

Final sign that the Iverson deal is dead/apparently Wally doesn't
think Danny's looking to trade him any time soon in general:

A Celtic's pride

Boston Celtics forward Wally Szczerbiak, and his wife, Shannon,
bought a newly constructed 8,242-square-foot, 12-room house on
Hathaway Road in Lexington from developer Frederick C. Cialdea for
$2.5 million. Szczerbiak joined the team this past season through a
trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The house, which sits on about
three-quarters of an acre, has five bedrooms, nine baths , and three
fireplaces.

Since Wally would almost have to have been part of any Iverson deal
to make the salaries work while offering something someone else might
want other than Pierce, I think that's the final nail in the coffin.
Also gotta wonder if he would have done this, given the current real
estate market and what that means about turning around and selling
the place, unless he was pretty sure he was here to stay for a bit.
There are plenty of long term rentals available as a short term
alternative, especially at the luxury end.

Kim, still scratching her head over why you need 9 baths with only 5
bedrooms unless you're planning on a lot of keg and coffee parties.
Or combine the two with that new, caffeinated beer (did anyone even
stop and think what the second best known property of both substances is???)
