[this msg didn't go through yesterday --- as a few of mine haven't...]

--- the Nets just got Mikki Moore for a 2009 2nd round pick. I would have
given that up in a
heartbeat. Moore's a guy i've been suggested we get (back) for a few years
now. He's not ever gonna
be a starter but cna give us 10-15 of high energy backup at the 5. I would
prefer a kid like him over
Pittsnogle, but agree Pitts worth a look-see. On a team struggling with depth
up front I worry why
we're not adding any veteran depth.

-- if a 2-for-1 deal or 3-for-1 is in the offing, i'd like to take a run at
Scott Pollard. He's a little tough,
a little crazy.... just what we need. Otherwise, maybe Kelvin Cato -- who if
i'm not mistaken is still out
there.

-- Mark B. said he's not counting on anything from Theo Ratliff; I don't
know... the last 3 seasons he's
played: 55, 63, 83, 81 (yes 83 games). Clearly that's trending downward,
but 5 pts, 5 reb, 1.5 blocks
in 15-20 mpg, would recover some of what we lost w/ Raef.

-- BTW, Ratliff's real first name: Theophilus

--- Anyone else like what Indiana's done this offseason? the Anthony johnson
deal was a bit weird
until you read that Armstrong was Marquis Daniels' mentor w/ the Mavs.

they've added Al Harrington, Marquis Daniels, Armstrong, John Edwards, Shawne
Williams, Orien Green
and James White to replace Peja (always thougth that was a weird fit), Anthony
Johnson and Fred Jones.

--- I also really like what Toronto has done (esp. adding TJ Ford and Fred
Jones) -- though the old
adage is it's easier to go from 20-40 wins than 40-55 likely applies.

(the other) mark
