Come on, now Kevin.  Do you really think there was no set plan for how the show was mixed prior to each show and that each musician was entirely on his own to determine it?  That's unrealistic.  Yes, Pete could naturally do whatever he wanted with it, because he's fucking Pete Townshend and he wrote all the songs and kicks ass all over the stage.  I would be flabbergasted if Pino and Rabbit actually controlled their levels in the mix.  And it's incredibly naiive to believe that Pete and Roger had no input on the band's overall sound.
