A who-like tour...
Hi all, Steve here in Canada.
Thought I'd share a real dream that I had the other night, simply because
it happened after the list discussions about a possible tour.
In my dream - classified as a bad dream - one I woke up from and was
disturbed by...
1 The music was bad. Really bad - poor balance, no depth, no drive, many
mistakes.
2 Physically, the bassist was tiny, and kept off in a corner by himself
3 Drummer was 'ok' (not Zack), but not loud
4 Rog and Pete couldn't get it together - missed lead in's, of key singing,
fumbled chords...
5 Same old same old boring
6 way too many empty seats, and people leaving part way through
Is there a message? I gotta say that I hope there is no "Who" tour. Way too
much of a "Who's Left" joke.
Would I like to see a tour to showcase Pete Townshend's solo work? Yes.
With Rog as a guitarist? sure, that way a couple of Who bits could be sung
by Rog.
Would I go to see a 'Who' concert? At what price of admission? Certainly
not what I've paid the last 3 times.
Would I be interested in a tour to support an album by Pete and Roger? If
it is worth hearing live...
But, Please, no more Who - Greatest Hits and Memories. Gives me bad dreams.
Steve, out on a limb, and cutting it off behind me.
