Re: The Who Mailing List Digest V10 #317

Well Thanks to all for the warm welcome. I felt like I made 8-9 friends in
one day! It made my day.

About myself: I am 41 years old and live in Raleigh, NC w/my two kids Josh
18 and Anna Rose 14. I have been a Who fan since the late 70s. I love
listening to loud music in the car while driving fast, singing w/my daughter
all the crazy new music, and cuddling under the covers when it is raining
outside on a Saturday. I love long walks w/ lots of laughing and holding
hands and anything to do w/kittens and love. Just like a girl you guys are
probably saying . ..

Sounds like Kathleen and I have a lot in common, Hola mi amiga nueva! and
Scott and I could get along except I'd rather spend my lunch doin some
physical activity rather than reading the paper. Science is way cool, but
math is probably my favorite subject, especially multiplication.

Jo's blurp about everyone w/real funny, it made it sound like the crew of
the next starship enterprise w/the science geek, the politician, the
historian, the english teacher, etc. Anybody have pointed ears? I wonder
what you all will dream up for me after a couple months.

About the Who, I have only seen the Who once in 1982. They have been my
favorite Rock band since I was a teenager w/Led Zeppelin and the Stones
coming up as runners up but far behind and the Beatles, and the like under
them. Now I still love the Who as #1 band but there are so many new faces
and sounds that there's no end to my music passion. I love Christina
Aguilara and Michelle Branch and John Mayer, Enrique, and even some of those
funny rappers like 50 Cent . . . I could go on and on . . .

My favorite song is probably "Love Reign on Me" because I like anything to
do w/love and rain and men screaming! I can feel some real sexual emotion
being poured out when this one is cranking. It is not so obvious which
makes it tantilizing much more so than a more direct song like "Slow Ride"
by Foghat..

Kevin, for being shy you sure had a lot to say, I can tell you are funny
"Are you hot?" Hahaha, am I supposed to answer that?

NC is a beautiful place. Great weather, only one ice storm and one
hurricane this year!

Anyone going to the Who photo exhibit in MI next month? Boy, I wish I could
make it, but I'm in the middle of some classes at NC State Unversity, which
is also where I work, so I can't get away. Does anyone know if that's a
temporary or permanent thing>?

I think people should call themselves whatever they want to be called and
The Who is definitely not not the Who. When Roger went solo, that was
pretty sad, and they belong together, just like families belong together.
The Who's Next suggestion made me LOL.

Anyway, I don't want to talk your ears off. Or you'll be dubbing me the
motor mouth. Hope this isn't too long.

Peace out new friends,

Suzanne
