Nothing is Everything

Hello,

I just spent an afternoon at a friend's house. They are
celebrating their Indian new year, and had us over for
dinner. All of the men were in one room (tradition),
and we were discussing one of the boy's education.

He is new to the states, so he is studying English,
but he is very interested in Math and Science ( I was
thinking of out Schrade). His older brother (mid 30s
works in the IT field) said that Math was of major
importance in order to understand complex things.
Wanting to add something to the conversation I
remarked that an Indian monk was responsible for
presenting the concept of Zero to the world, and that
without zero, our progress in technology would have
progressed at a radically different pace.

The older brother says, "Yes, I know of that man". He
says the monks name (I think it begins with an A - need
to Google that one). Then he says, "It is nothing, but is
everything."

See, my Who influence has even complete
strangers quoting lyrics.
