I got a healthy round of Pete / pedophile joking while at lunch with
three friends yesterday.  I explained some of the details of Pete's 
latest diary post & while it succeeded in making my friends end their
comic jabs, I could tell they weren't completely convinced of Pete's
innocence.

Fact is, most people, even "educated" rock fans like my friends who
must suffer through my endless defense of the man, think Pete is a
weirdo who got caught looking at kiddie porn on the internet.  

But, on the good side, the whole affair doesn't seem to have damaged
The Who's stature as an outstanding rock band, or Pete's stature as
a brilliant songwriter / performer.  The pedo-jokes may fly but they
simply bounce off the thick armor of The Who.
