Debut: As lead singer of the Who, Roger Daltrey brought boundless energy
to his performances.  That spirit serves him well as he takes a hands-on
approach to understanding history in this series.  He recreates famous
challenges from years past using period techniques & tools.

John Wesley Powell's 1869 Colorado river expedition is up first.  Daltrey
proves to be a fine storyteller in solo segments recalling Powell's tale,
but the reenactment itself is disappointing.  Daltrey & his river guides
rely on bawdy humor & bleeped expletives to compensate for a lack of
excitement.
