The Frankenstein Myth

I remember seeing The Who at the Music Hall Theater in Boston,MA back in 1968.
During the finale, both Pete and Keith were smashing up thier instruments as
John stood motionless (except for his fingers). When Keith pretty much
finished throwing his drum kit all across the stage, he then went over to
John, grabbed his bass and threw it into the wall of the orchestra pit, breaking
off the top of the neck!
Just another great typical Who show!!!

I would suggest that, after running out of gold records to use as Tommy-gun
targets,
John began using old bass guitars instead.
