That, and the fact that he's not helping his cause with these combative and run-and-hide diary entries.

Think about this Who nuts......
If half (no actual research done, but there is a point here) of the regular people on this list feel the way I'm feeling, and we (those who take the time to participate on a Who list) are arguably the hard-core of the hard-core Who fans, then how do you suppose the everyday Who fan is going to react? I'd venture to guess, not too well.
Hell, we *love* Pete, yet at this point are disappointed with his reactions and statements.

I just can't understand, and am disappointed as a result, why Pete is taking this line at this time. It's strange to me.
I don't buy the argument that he's not used to this kind of grunt work, and is uncomfortable with being a spear-head for this issue (been dwelling on this since yesterday).
Pete is highly intelligent, and has handled the spot light for his entire life, in ways other than just on stage. Hell, he's an editor for Faber and Faber. He's a savvy business man.

Yet, he can't control the buzzing in his head.
That statement alone gives me HUGE insight into his psyche.
He's confused.

>But we do.

He's definitely not helping himself with his current angle.
