Who are They update

Well, we had a bust week.  We played a wed night at a club in New Orleans called the Howlin Wolf, which is probably one of the top three club venues in the city.  Turn out was light with little publicity, but we did get Cowboy Mouth's drummer/lead singer, Fred Leblanc in attendance and he sat in for a couple of songs since he's such a huge Who fan.  He played Relay and I Can't Explain.  I was told he was on the short list for drummers when The Who was planning the 2000 Tour, but they decided to go with Zack.  We were sloppy in places, but the energy was pretty good.

Last night we played here in BR for another small audience, but Scotty Drake, the local classic rock station's afternoon drive DJ was there, and as a huge Who fan, loved us.  We had by far our tightest performance as a band, and handled our own sound for the first time with excellent success.  I also ripped my jeans in the crotch area doing a split jump.

It's very slow progress.  We're waiting for the big chance to open for a high profile local band in a good venue to get some word of mouth going.
