"Heaven & Hell" has a lot of that but I don't remember too much of it
from later on in the film (then again, I haven't watched it in a while).

The Woodstock movie does the same thing. Footage from "Sparks" is shown
while "Summertime Blues" is playing. During the solo.

I always wince when I see that part. It's so "fakey," as my mother would
say. It's akin to what's called "sweetening" the applause, where louder
applause is added later because of a less than enthusiastic crowd.

But I've always been somewhat skeptical of the "cameramen fell asleep"
story. Sleeping a few feet away from The Who while they're performing?
Even allowing for drugs this seems suspect for cameramen whose jobs &
livelihood depend on their competence at their craft.

And even if cameras ran out of film & had to be changed, they couldn't
*all* have needed changing at the same time.

But......stranger things have happened.
