PEDO-FILES CLEAR ME: PETE

January 30, 2003 -- Rock legend Pete Townshend claims
he can now prove he's not a pedophile. 
The Who guitarist said yesterday an Internet watchdog
admitted he complained about a child-pornography site.


Townshend, 60, was arrested three weeks ago after his
credit card was linked to the site. The rocker
insisted he had looked at it only for research in a
campaign against child abuse - and had alerted the
Internet-Watch Foundation. 

At the time, the IWF said it had never heard from
Townshend. But yesterday, the rocker's Web site
claimed it changed its story.
