Don't speak for me  

A whole generation fooled by guitarist Townshend". 

"Whatever the whole truth turns out to be, he is
irreparably tarnished in my mind and I shall never
feel quite the same about him or his music... It looks
like me and my generation did get fooled after all!"
wrote Les Horton(GDN January 25). 

I'm sorry that Les feels fooled and/or disillusioned,
but he is presumptuous in speaking for me. I too grew
up with the music of The Who.

I think it's sad that the music of Pete and The Who
mean so little to Mr Horton that the events that have
already transpired have tarnished the music for him.
While I too hope Pete is innocent, even if the worst
turns out to be true it will not affect my deep
appreciation for his music one iota.
