 I used to respect Jay Leno, but that has changed.

I found the jokes about Pete Townshend to be sickening, very unfair, and not 
funny. Peadophelia is a HORRIBLE thing to accuse someone of!  This is a man  
(Pete) who has been fighting *against* child pornography when most didn't 
even give a shit. Do journalists investigate before doing a story?  Of course 
they do, or else they wouldn't know what the hell they are talking about.  
Should we name them-and destroy their lives-publicly for trying to expose 
such an evil? 

Here is what I already knew before this slanderous story hit the news last 
Saturday:

Pete *has* been writing a book and already wrote "A Different Bomb" an essay 
written over a year ago which calls to look into ways to eradicate child porn 
from the Internet in a very articulate and heart wrenching way.  

Maybe Jay should actually do some research of his own and read this before he 
opens his big mouth. Maybe Jay should research *facts* before performing 
character assassination on national TV.  Maybe Jay should wait until Pete has 
actually been charged with a crime!!

One thing is for certain, until Jay Leno does the right thing and apologizes 
publicly for what he prematurely and wrongly said at Pete's expense, I am 
through with him  forever.
