MOD, MINIS, AND MINK
By LIBBY CALLAWAY

February 16, 2003 -- Not a fan of the '60s?
Then you're out of luck next fall, when the funky,
Mod-inspired looks that dominated the collections
shown at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week hit the stores.

Mini skirts, A-line shift dresses and cropped
motorcycle jackets are going to be huge come autumn
2003 - Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs, DKNY, and Cynthia
Steffe all did mod - stunningly.

But not everything at Fashion Week looked like it was
worn in "Quadrophenia."

There were plenty of very wearable basics on show -
including sexy suits at Tyler and Luca Luca (wear them
with suspenders for extra oomph). There were also
beautiful full skirts at Zac Posen and Behnaz
Sarafpour.

Get ready to lust after luxe ski parkas, like the
fur-lined gold brocade ones at Chado Ralph Rucci (Anna
Sui did a super faux version); supple double-faced
wool numbers a la those at Michael Kors; and
multi-colored tweed trenches similiar to those at
Matthew Williamson and Tracy Reese.
