What were you doing when you found out about Keith's death? John's?
I found out about Keith's death in 1996. I guess I was one of the first 
here in Holland (besides the newsreader) to hear of John's death. I just 
came back from the pub with a flatmate of mine. The cab driver had the 
radio on and "My Generation" was playing. I told him to turn it up, and he 
said someone of The Who had just died. First thing I thought was a false 
report, like when Roger supposedly died after getting stabbed in the eye by 
Gary Glitter at Hyde Park 1996. But hearing it over and over, made me 
realize this was true. Back home I checked it online (found some American 
fans on AOL messenger) and called the Dutch fans. I also called some 
American friends. Called my (American) ex-girlfriend and her reply was: "so 
some guy dies and you call me?". Guess she forgot we met through John...
