I have long argued that the Who should have been recognised for,
1. Living in this country and at one stage, paying around 98% income
tax and not swanning off like Jagger, Rod Stewart and numerous
others, to live in foreign climes.
Phhtph. You say "swanning off", I say "fleeing from a raping". I
applaud anyone with the initiative to get the hell out, and can only
shake my head in sympathy for anyone who deliberately put up with it
through misguided patriotism. The only thing I've ever heard worse
than that is for a very brief period, Sweden had a *104%* income tax
above a certain level, until the geniuses realized people wouldn't
pay to work.
