No, I am not. I have a great deal of respect for Mark. I would love for him
to just go and see them if he can, but I don't know his personal situation
and I accept his view. What an intelligent guy. He seems to be hurt more by
the loss of John than me and I think that you are right about the generation
thing. Or maybe what we individually dig about The Who. I love this band
for specific reasons and I am sure that you all do as well. I respect
everyone here. You all increase my appreciation for this band alot by your
views -wether they be different than mine or the same.

I have alot of feelings, but I am guarded because I don't want to go off
topic too much.

I have been listening to all of the albums and have been hearing them from a
different angle now that John is gone. I just listened to WBN today. I
considered as I listened "Could the current band make this?" Of course,
Success Story is out. But Pete is still here. The intimate lyrics and soul
baring are all his. I wonder if he could bare his soul still further? What
he says and how he and Roger say it really suit *my* soul. Keith is gone, God
bless him. I bet Zak could be quite interesting back there. The bass? I
don't know. Maybe it is just that what I love about the band is still
basically here. Pete has such depth and there is no one like him. I do know
one thing, that if he were to go, it would be all over for me. That is how I
can understand Mark.

There are many thick people out in record buying land. Hey, could they just
make one funky or heavy metal song with a bunch of F words and rap in it
with a guitar that sounds like someone is vacuuming on the floor above you
and let *that* be the hit and then we can enjoy the rest of the good stuff on
the album? Nah. I didn't think so either.
