How about an explanation from those knowledgeable souls on why Pete doesn't
play Gibson's anymore? I myself prefer their "heavier" sound than the
"lighter, tinnier" sound of Fenders.

Anyone?
Jeff's House:

We could all go to Jeff's house for a pre-show gathering.

I say this jokingly of course, but I do miss Jeff's posts so. He was interesting,
that one! I hope he is lurking and will come back. Please accept this
invitation to come back. After all brother, it's from a Philadelphian.

Were's Keets been? Has God banished her from the kingdom too?

Sheraton Gibsons:

This is pure conjecture, but since Pete's hearing problems developed
and he has attempted to *arrest* the damage he has sought out a softer
sound. I can also imagine that in order to hear himself play, the notes
need to stand out more and not get lost in a sea of cloudy / muddy sound.
Sure you can be so good that you don't need to hear yourself playing, but
it helps when you are not practiced, are doing a different tempo arrangement
or are playing with other band members.

I really like to look at Pete holding any guitar except for the flying V. It just
brings me back to those Flock of Seagulls days, with the gelled hair and all.

He may also be following the money too. Does anyone know if Fender
is a more economic power in the guitar industry than Gibson. I see Fender
in many places, more so than Gibson but then I'm only sitting at my PC. ;-)

The Mcs:

Kevin McCabe, where's those MP3s you promised? How's the band
coming along?

Andy Cummings posts from a few weeks made me think of what Who
songs listers have performed in a public setting, and what are the easiest
to play, gave the most enjoyment to the audience, etc.

I once performed Greyhound Girl at an open-mic night. Won't Get Fooled
Again is another that I've performed. I'm now working on an acoustic
version of Sea and Sand to go along with Drowned for a quick Quad
back-to-back.

Thoughts?
