Someone went to Myrtle Beach and all I got was this lousy Christian Scientist

This is very true. The decision making process is in our soul. The soul is
composed of three main parts. The mind, the emotion and the will.

Jon:

I can't go with you on that. Too often we find the mind is at odds with the will. I'd never steal. However, if I was starving, I'd steal before I (or my family) starved to death. I'd never kill. But if it was him or me, him or my family...see what I mean? I think all decisions are from the mind, which could be influenced by the soul but usually not ruled by it. Having said that, I think many times our actions are dictated by instinct (as in my examples) which override the mind, will and soul. Much of human behavior, a great example being the territorial imperitive, is driven by instinct. And if one believes in a creator, then said creator put those instincts into us for a reason...the most obvious being for our survival at a time when our minds could not understand a situation and act accordingly...and that would put into question the idea of adhering to a certain type of behavior (such as that a religion might demand) because it's NOT a concious decision. A decision is by defintion the weighing of the situation based on our knowledge and experience. An instinct, most times, is an instant response without thought.

We have been given a free will.

I don't think we're as free as we think we are. But in any case freedom tastes of reality.

The God that I know never "forces" His will.

Knowing the way humans balk at being forced, it would seem to be a stupid move. I don't believe in divine intervention either. Otherwise one would have to "blame" the Universal Mind for everytime he/she/it DOESN'T intervene. On the other hand, by Biblical accounts the actions of the described God are those of a spoiled child. Jealous, petty, demanding, unreasonable, unyielding...you certainly wouldn't want to invite someone like that to a party.

what it is for. This may be why he is wishy washy.

Maybe. I think it's just his nature. Due to his background. Like most very intelligent people, Pete had a rough childhood.

not. Apart from what any of us may believe or think or guess, there is the
TRUTH that`s there and everywhere and it doesn`t matter at all if we believe

Helen:

"But what is truth/Is truth unchanging law?/We both have truths/Are mine the same as yours?" Trial Before Pilate from Jesus Christ Superstar.

begin? And a synonym for the word "Seeker" would be "Fool" if there`s
nothing to seek for.

Unless it's the seeking that's the important part. The path, the journey, not the end. People trying to better themselves, raise their level of conciousness, have got to be better than those who never try. And it seems those who don't try are the types most tied to physical pleasures. Or so I've observed.

needs someone to worship (that is, to have FAITH IN SOMETHING BIGGER) and it
is constantly seeking for some mysterious Truth, that always slips away just
when you think you`ve found it.

I knew this would come up at some point. Faith In Something Bigger is about "...something big inside ourselves..." I suppose one could read that as the Supreme Being but I think it's about finding the better person inside onesself. And, too, for those who do not believe in the higher being, the search you speak of could just be a desire to abdicate the heavy responsibilities of life, as one does as a child (essentially seeking a parent). This IS an aspect of human behavior, all spiritual matters aside.

What is science trying to explain and how did it come to be? Science is
trying to define and set limitations on things yet impossible to be defined.

To be fair, science has done a pretty good job of definiting limitations and things once not understood so far. It's not fair to say just because they haven't YET completely explained everything, it is impossible to do so. A caveman would see a television as magic, yet thousands are made every day by mere mortals.
