I think some people on O&S were talking about this a while back.  
They compared it to a U2/Edge sound.  Can you confirm that?

I have bootlegs from '79 & Pete would sometimes do a U2/Edge riff
in "Sparks."  Of course that was about a year before U2's first al-
bum, so....draw your own conclusions.
