Re: Cloggin'; 8-Tracks, wild women and Blue Ribbon Beer

closely and were friends. I can tell you he died of heart failure as a
result of 3 clogged arteries - 1 100% and 2 75% clogged. If any of you are
in the medical profession you know that many people die from this, are not
aware that they have the condition and many times their physician does not
pick it up in a standard physical. The heart can spasm & stop at any time
and the result is sudden and final! Lifestyle choices, high blood pressure &
high cholesterol are not required conditions to blocked arteries.

Laura:

Yes, but if you had clogged arteries would you do cocaine? It might be an incredible coincidence that he happened to have a heart attack just after doing coke, and not as a result, but the question will still remain why someone with that condition would take that sort of insane risk. I thought he was a great man too...I miss him more than I did Moon, don't ask me why.

Ah...my two favourite British writers~

Lew:

You're a wise man. Mine too.

cassette & "cartridge" (!), also.

Scott:

Probably 8-Track. Even back then, we didn't like to call them 8-Tracks.

I remember this as the only Who cassette that sounded loud enough. The MCA
ones sucked. I am very thankful for cd's.

Jon:

Me too!

John was pretty quiet, but if the bit of writing pubhished on AMW really was his, then he was really funny and a great writer. Maybe not as deep a thinker as Pete, but not dumb either.

Joe:

I haven't read that. And to be fair I didn't say he was "dumb," just that he has never impressed me as an intellectual.
