help with beatles argument

OK, I now have another friend who takes delight in messing with me about the 
Who vs the Beatles.  Needless to say, though I have held my own so far, I am 
looking to blow him out of the water.  What REALLY pisses me off is that he 
doesn't even listen to the Beatles anymore, but he apparently was into them 
during some weird period of adolescent anxiety where he did nothing but lock 
himself in his room and listen to the Beatles.  Anyway, someone on the list 
made a great post about all the things the Who pioneered, such as Pete 
inventing the "power chord," or at least using it on a regular basis.  I 
would be greatly appreciative if the person who posted this, and anyone else 
for that matter, would give me ammunition for my next encounter with this 
guy.  For example, the other night he calls (from alabama, no less) to inform 
me that the Who are coming on VH-1 for the Smothers Bros incident, then calls 
back after the whole show is over to inform me that the Beatles on Ed 
Sullivan made #1 on VH-1's list.  Please help me.
