Nah, the guy's just plain loopy.  One day he's happy, the next he's bored.  
Bleedin' quadrophenic.  Plus, he's always like to shock an audience (or inter-
viewer) by saying something unexpected and often harsh.

He's just Pete.  And Pete will be Pete.
