So, if there is no collusion (perhaps),
and even if there is bribing,
and brokers/agents have to sit in line like others,
.....with the Internet now available......again, my only conclusion is that
brokers *do not* provide a service, but actually a disservice and means of
padding their own pocket.
They take away the ability for folk to purchase the best seats via the net
which is an officially endorsed means of purchase.
Someone please tell me what benefit brokers are providing????

A bit extreme, but no completely unrealistic. And, it has a valid point.
Ok, let me rephrase...
There is a bread shortage in a particular town.
Some selected few come in and purchase a large portion of bread, that could
have been available for the public at large. These few jack the price up 4
fold, and now some of those starving folk can't afford the marked up bread
which is their only option as all the other bread is already sold (at
affordable prices).
That, to me, is not right.

I guess (no, I know) I am more of a socialist. I believe in capitalism and
free market, but there is also a concept called responsible capitalism.
I, for one, am with the Democrats who believe that there are limits in
certain situations. Like in my splendid and realistic ;-) bread analogy.
Public interests must be protected. There is also a thinking called
fairness.

And no Jeff, this is *not* naive thinking.
It may be idealistic, but who said we should stop striving for idealism?

Hmmm, I didn't get that.
It's actually based on The Oddessey.
To a T.
Great movie if anyone is interested.

Thanks to Magik for the link, and to Jeff H. for sending it to me off-list.

Good luck tomorrow all Hershey goers.
