So, I'm shopping for a Father's Day gift for Buck, and the 5 year old kiddo
says "we need a cd with Pete on it. You know, mommy, Pete with the big
nose?" Although I knew that the new Ultimate Collection was not on the list
of wants, I picked it up, anyway. (So sue me! I only had 10 minutes to shop,
and had the "help" of a 5 year old and a 2 month old.....).

When I went to check out, the very young man behind the counter at Borders
said, "I'm not sure I want to get this. I think I already have it all!" I
told him I figured he'd probably see this one exchanged in a day or two for
the same reason. He asked if I was going to the Tweeter show this summer and
I said "yeah, we have *decent* seats, about 25 rows back" . He brightened.
"On Pete's or John's side?" he asked with a grin. When I told him Pete's,
and how excited we were, his cohort, who was more a contemporary of mine
(ahem) looked me over - noting the Gap-soccer mom attire, the stroller with
said infant and 5 year old pixie dancing around to the Britney Spears music
and said "you don't strike me as your typical Who fan!". I knew then I had
been "sucked into the vortex of Who-ness".

Also, while searching for a Who t-shirt for said infant I came across this:

It made me smile - so Buck and I wanted to share.

Enjoy!
