As long as they're nailing the competition the way they are, then it's  fun.

complete inactivity the way they've done.  It's impressive as hell.

I'm thinking the quick and spontaneous lyrics and the crafted music might be 
better for The Who.  I don't care as much for the songs with over-crafted 
lyrics and sketchy music.

Roger and John say the early albums were very spontaneous, with the band 
contributing quite a bit to fill out the songs.  Later Pete took more of the 
responsiblity for the albums by planning out detailed demos ahead of time.  
Which are better?

I'm willing to bet they'll never beat WHO'S NEXT.  As strong as QUAD is, the 
Lifehouse concerts made their best album.

That would certainly be something entirely new for The Who.  It might take 
care the periodic problem the others have about being low on capital, too.
