I've lost track of the time sequence.  Maybe so, but then maybe it was the 
other way around, too.  Maybe Pete got invited to work on Mick's album, and 
when he's listened to the music, then he's interested in following up with 
some groove work of his own.  But whatever, he's obviously discovered the 
genre.

It actually fits very well with the way Pete works.  Those synthesizer and 
organ backing tapes for Baba and WGFA might be considered early  examples of 
groove tracks.  Pete work seems a little dissonant for the usual groove.  
Isn't groove generally very laid-back?  But then I'm certainly not the 
expert--Pete said his Acid loops were "thrash."  Plus, we've not really 
heard a finished piece.

I really liked "Gun," but "Ratrun" sounds like a demo--too thin.  It needs 
some remix, I think.  Also, I hate that drum pop.  Ouch.  Too percussive.
