The Who are a staple on Boston's "oldies" station.  When the tickets went on 
sale for this year's tour they promoted it and play mucho Who music.

Conclusion:  it has little to do with thought, age, musical content, etc.  
The oldies station is owned by Clear Channel.  Clear Channel is the only 
promoter in Boston (formerly known as Don Law Company).  The simple math is 
$1 + $1 = $2.

I would bet one of my paychecks that if Clear Channel had a Who to sell you 
and owned an oldies station in the market, The Who would be an oldies band 
on that station.

Expect more cynicism today.  Mondays make me feel that way.
