To paraphrase something I said on another list about Robert Plant
singing Led Zeppelin songs when supporting the Who in Chicago, you have
4 chances of seeing John play in the UK; outside, fat, slim or none.

To my knowledge JAE has never played in a band in the UK since the
failure (commercially) of his Ox band tour in 1975. 

It appears, and I'm sure Alan might be able to speak on this, that his
organisation cites logistical difficulties in bringing the band etc to
the UK.

With respect, that's bollocks. He's either just lazy (well, he plays
constantly in the US, so that's no reason) or mis-advised, or scared
he'll flop in the UK if he did try and organise a few shows.

Whatever, it's a damn shame, as I for one would love to see him play in
the kind of small club venues here as he does in the States.
