Re: that voodoo that he do

And IMHO the ONLY way The Who can get away with making a new album is if
it's raw and powerful. Otherwise, it'll be Voodoo Lounge.

Raw and powerful and rock will be okay with me. I don't think they should
do it because it's a trend, though. They'll have to do something they all
like, or as Roger said, they'll end up dumping it in the trash bin.

Pretty good analysis. :)

Yup. A new style for a new century.

Pete's definitely the genius at the heart of the songs, but don't sell the
others short. It's hard to be a genius in a vacuum, and working with
creative people always sparks creativity.

If Pete turns out some genius material, I'm sure Roger would be happy to
dump all his own songs. Like he said, there's always a solo album. But
Roger's songwriting can benefit from the collaboration the same way Pete's
and John's can. I liked "Crossroads Now" (Rog reallly nailed that one!),
and I liked the part of the new TKAA that I'm pretty sure Roger wrote. If
they don't put them on a Who album, I'd like to continue to hear some of
them live.

Anybody up for "Blues Man's Road" on this tour? That would make a terrific
Who song.

>We do to. We need Pete to *stop* giving a fuck about other people and do
>what we know he has inside him. Just let it fucking out.
If he does that, we should get "The Boy Who Heard Music".

I think Pete lets things out all the time. The problem is choosing what's
best to follow up. Remember that Kit Lambert used to pick and choose back
in the early days, and channeled Pete's creative energy for him. Do you
suppose Pete has ADD (attention deficit disorder)?
