logical question / fear

it seems that when there's a band that has a cult following and you're part 
of that cult, you want everyone to know how good this band is. and then when 
this band releases an album that goes to no. 1 on the pop album charts and 
stays there for like 11 weeks and goes on to sell over 10 million copies or 
whatever, you accuse me them of "selling out"?    u2 is a good example. 

and i'm fearing that the who are gonna break up as friends again due to 
pete's attitude at the royal albert hall show last night.  : - S
