Clapton joins Yardbirds on guitar '63
Clapton quits Yardbirds '65 ~ Jeff Beck joins on guitar
Samwell-Smith on bass quits Yardbirds '66 ~ Page joins on bass
Page switches to 2nd lead guitar '66 ~ Dreja switches to bass
Beck and Page both on lead guitar '66
Beck quits Yardbirds late '66
Page leads Yardbirds late '66 thru early -68
Yardbirds dissolve '68
Page continues with New Yardbirds thru '68/'69
New Yardbirds become Led Zeppelin with addition of Plant '69

so

No Yardbirds = No Zeppelin

so

Jimmy Page is a Yardbird ! ! !  ;-)
