Greetings!

While we milked most of our recent conversation with
Pete Townshend for the compact news story in the
latest (May) ICE, we do have one last quote to share
with those seeking the full "scoop." On the new
Scooped compilation, released via Redline
Entertainment on May 21, the Who legend says:

"This collection is not my idea, nor is it my
conception. I am keen that people should go back to
the original twin CDs at some point and I hope this
collection works like a sampler. There is no regular
outlet or PR route for such a project. My friends at
Redline and Best Buy - and make no small thing of
this: they are truly friends to do this - are putting
this together as a labour of love in the middle of a
much more focussed life selling a wide range of
consumer items. They do these things as their way of
making life fun. Im glad to be a part of that. The
feel is good I think. Helen always gets things in the
best order I think. I do wonder if everyone else
agrees sometimes."
