Tense is what I picked up.  I'm watching it in bits and pieces, so I don't 
have a clear idea if this continues all through the video--I think it's 
cleared up a lot after the fade-out, which I gather is the intermission.  Is 
that right?  Is it all from one show?

Why is Pete tense about things going well?  Any ideas?  Is it the format, or 
the material?  From the polite smattering of applause for the first couple 
of numbers and his comment about rocking out later, I was thinking he was 
concerned about the audience reaction.
