"I can fully understand emotion under duress, but, it's hard
to believe that on this self-proclaimed, lovey-dovey list
someone would actually get slammed for being well read and
having scope. I mean - be real - facts are facts."

I was slamming his conclusion and his choice of facts, with a little sarcasm
thrown in to express anger. As I said, I have no quibble with the facts
that he cited. I have a quibble with the fact that he chose to leave out
many other facts. Some of the pertinent stuff was posted by keets
(thanks!).

"This *is* the time to talk about it, Jeff."

Agreed.

"How long is one supposed to wait? 2 weeks? 6 months? A year?"

I don't know, but I think it is also fair for me to express my opinion and
(yes goddammit) my feelings.

"You sound as patriotic as I am but you must remember that no
country is above objective criticism."

I agree with you here, as well. Of course 'objective criticism' does not
exist in real life. Only machines and Gregg are objective :-)

Should I keep my opinion to myself when the criticism is 'objective' and
backed with some selective facts? Was my tone too harsh? Do you folks want
to vote anyone me off the island?

Oh shit. I almost felt emotion there. Deep breath. OK, back to
objectivity mode.

Jeff
