Re: To apologize or not to apologize

All,

Firstly I would just like to say that I love the States,
am a frequent visitor there and have family stretching
the east coast from New York down to Florida. I have
been grieving this past week and tried to refrain from
entering any debate surrounding this horrible madness.
The comments below have moved me to do otherwise.

Jeff re:

>>Here's some more information for your unusually large brain: Quit the

>>ass and lay off my Senators and my city.

I can fully understand emotion under duress, but, it's hard
to believe that on this self-proclaimed, lovey-dovey list
someone would actually get slammed for being well read and
having scope. I mean - be real - facts are facts.

>>There is a time and a place for this kind of bickering, and this

>>with the facts he chose to include and the conclusions he chose to draw.

This *is* the time to talk about it, Jeff. How long is one
supposed to wait? 2 weeks? 6 months? A year? Try not to feel
guilty about any of this just because of your choice when it
came election time. There are many whys and wherefores I'm
sure you want the answer to, so get your head out of the sand.
You sound as patriotic as I am but you must remember that no
country is above objective criticism.

How can anyone comment on the future without looking at the past?
Talkin' 'bout "being raised in a barrel", as you put it. Good Lord.
