recent tragedy.  Here are 11 eerie coincidences...

9/11 (day of disaster) 9+1+1 = 11
9/11 is the 254th day of the year -- 2+5+4 = 11
New York was the 11th state to enter the Union
"New York City" = 11 characters
"Afghanistan" = 11 characters
"The Pentagon" = 11 characters
The twin towers look like the number 11
Flight 11 (hit North tower) had 11 crew members
Flight 175 (hit South tower) had 56 passengers aboard
-- 5+6 = 11
Flight 93 (crashed in Pittsburgh) had 38 passengers
aboard -- 3+8 = 11
